In this episode of Seeking Refuge, the team interviews students at the University of South Carolina to see what they know about refugees.

In this episode of Seeking Refuge, I discuss Mayor Collins’ story, from his refugee journey to his political career.

“Corona Chronicles: Mutual Aid Midlands” is a short interview piece with Dr. Deborah Billings of UofSC, one of the founding members of a mutual aid group in Columbia, SC. This conversation was conducted entirely remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and I also created a PSA for local radio stations to air in English and Spanish bringing attention to the new organization.

In my the first half of my most recent interview for Seeking Refuge, the podcast I produce at the University of South Carolina, I speak with a migration history professor who explains how the modern refugee came to be.

This episode of Seeking Refuge tells the story of Salva Dut, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan who has started a thriving non-profit which builds wells in remote areas of Sudan.

Note: for the Salva Dut story, I was the primary script writer and editor, but not the host.

I retell the story of a conversation I had in Spanish with David Marín Cabrera, a Venezuelan counselor living in Peru and offering mental health care to other Venezuelan refugees and migrants.
